Dominant Woodstock Town Reserves Cruise into Next Round with 12-0 Cup Victory

Woodstock Town Reserves opened their Clarendon Cup campaign in spectacular fashion on Saturday, delivering a commanding 12-0 victory over Bicester Park to progress to the next round.

Building on the momentum of a win last weekend, Woodstock entered the cup tie with strong team spirit, despite challenging weather conditions. The Reserves asserted their dominance immediately, taking the lead within the opening three minutes of play.

First Half Dominance (7-0)

Adhering strictly to their game plan, Woodstock exhibited exceptional control, moving the ball sharply and demonstrating both technical ability and intelligent movement off the ball. With the early goal securing the advantage, the team refused to ease the pressure, ensuring every attack was incisive. This sustained intensity resulted in a flurry of goals, with the halftime whistle blowing at a resounding 7-0 in favour of Woodstock.

Second Half Control (5 Goals Added)

Playing against a strong headwind in the second half, the Reserves smartly adapted their tactics, focusing on keeping the ball on the ground to maintain possession and leverage their technical strengths. The team added five more goals to their tally, showcasing their clinical edge. The final ten minutes saw Bicester Park apply some pressure, aided by the wind, but the Woodstock defence held firm to secure the clean sheet.

Goal Summary

The goals were shared around the squad, highlighting the team's depth in attack:

* Hat-tricks: Ricardo and Willian (3)

* Braces: Caio and Felype (2)

* Single Goals: Mauro and Mohamed (1)

Woodstock Town Reserves wish Bicester Park all the best for the remainder of their season.
