The marathon of away fixtures kicked off with a tough league match against Watlington Town. It was a challenging start for the Reserves, who unfortunately fell to a 5-0 defeat. A difficult pill to swallow, but sometimes you learn the most from your losses.
Undeterred, the team quickly dusted themselves off and headed to nearby Bletchingdon to face Bletchingdon Developments. This time, their determination paid off as they secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory, getting their away campaign firmly back on track!
Next up was Clarendon Cup action, as Woodstock Town Reserves travelled to Bicester Park FC at Sunderland Drive. What followed was nothing short of a spectacular performance! The team absolutely dominated, running out an incredible 12-0 winners in a truly memorable cup tie. Goals galore and a massive confidence boost!
The journey continued with a debut in the all-new Oxfordshire Trophy, a county cup competition designed for reserve, development, and third teams. The Reserves travelled to the North Oxfordshire village of Bodicote, and once again, their attacking prowess shone through. They delivered another commanding performance, securing an impressive 8-1 win and making a strong statement in the new competition.
For their final away game on the bounce, Woodstock Town Reserves made the trip to Headington, Oxford, to take on Quarry Rover Nomads. In what proved to be a tighter affair, the Reserves showed their defensive solidity and ability to grind out results, emerging victorious with another crucial 1-0 win.
